Jeff Scholtens
Meet Jeff Scholtens, a Microvellum CNC Analyst and Software Integration Technician with nearly 30 years of CNC experience. Over the past 8 years, Jeff has been a crucial part of Microvellum, serving as our CNC Analyst and Field Services Machine Connection Specialist.
Jeff's journey in the woodworking industry began over 30 years ago at Steelcase, an office furniture manufacturer. Starting on the pack line, he gradually advanced to running various machines. His foreman noticed his keen interest in reading code and understanding the machines, prompting him to send Jeff to a programming class. A few years later, Jeff was programming CNC machines.
In 2005, Jeff joined Stiles as software support, a position he held until 2016. That year, he transitioned to Microvellum, where he has thrived ever since. In his hybrid role, Jeff collaborates with our Service Providers, CNC team, and clients. He excels in troubleshooting machines and enjoys the constant evolution of the CNC world.
Jeff specializes in CNC connectivity, working closely with machine reps and manufacturers. He appreciates the variety of CNC machines and the daily interactions with others. His passion enhances his ability to identify and resolve machine and connection issues.
Although Jeff works remotely, he values being part of the Microvellum team.

Jeff excels at solving complex challenges for woodworkers, always prioritizing positive outcomes for both his team and the clients they serve. He finds his job fun and fulfilling, enjoying the opportunity to help clients and collaborate with his team.
He advises new users to take their time with training and not to assume solutions. "Don't be afraid to ask questions," he emphasizes. Jeff's dedication to teamwork and extensive experience make him an invaluable asset to the Microvellum family.
