While studying Mechanical Engineering, Pierre worked in his parent's shop, overseeing production and learning how to use Microvellum. Over a span of five years, he utilized Microvellum and customized the library for Ébénisterie Saint-Fabien. Feeling satisfied with the progress he made, Pierre decided to transition into working for Microvellum due to the direction the company was headed and his desire to help other companies customize their libraries.

Although he enjoys customization, Pierre advises others learning Microvellum to utilize the engineered components within Microvellum's libraries rather than creating a full customized product library. He recommends leveraging Microvellum's out-of-the-box library to mitigate potential future issues and streamline future updates with the addition of new products to the Foundation Library.
